The Faculty of Information is pleased to invite you to an evening with Dr. Haim Gernter, Director of Archives and the Fred Hillman Chair of Holocaust Documentation at Yad Vashem, Israel, Wednesday December 2nd 6:00 pm at Innis Town Hall. Dr. Gertner, the guest lecturer at the 2015 Ian P. Sharp Lectureship in Information Science will, speak on the topic of Technology Serves Remembrance: Yad Vashem’s Breakthroughs in Accessing Holocaust Documentation. Yad Vashem, Israel is the world center for documentation, research, education and commemoration of the Holocaust. Dr. Gertner leads an extensive project to collect all historical and personal Holocaust-related documentation and to make it openly accessible to the public through an innovative amalgamation of content and technology.

In conjunction with the I. P. Sharp Lecture on December 2nd, we invite you to join us for an engaging panel discusion on the increasing importance of digital archives in the curation of intergenerational narratives.
